This vintage bannock recipe is from a native American Nuu-chah-nulth elder from British Columbia. It’s super easy and quick to do with only 4 ingredients!
Serves 8–12 | Prep. time 15 minutes | Cooking time 30 minutes
6 tablespoons baking powder
6 cups flour
3½ cups milk, warmed
¼ cup vegetable oil
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Combine the oil, flour, baking powder and milk in a large bowl until no lumps remain.
Make a rough oval shape from the dough and place it on a greased baking sheet.
Bake for 25–30 minutes until evenly golden.
Serve warm or cool.
