Adding butter to coffee might seem a little strange if you haven’t done it before, but it was seriously life-changing for me! It keeps hunger at bay, boosts energy, and is frothy like a latte. The addition of vanilla almond milk in this recipe makes it even more like a true latte, without adding carbs.

MAKES 1 SERVING
1 cup (8 ounces) brewed coffee
½ tablespoon unsalted butter
½ tablespoon MCT oil
3 tablespoons unsweetened vanilla almond milk
HOW TO MAKE:
In a blender, combine coffee, butter, MCT oil, and almond milk and blend until frothy. (Do not just stir the ingredients together. This will make your coffee oily, not frothy—yuck.)
Pour into a mug to serve.
TIPS & VARIATIONS
• For a richer cup, you can increase butter and MCT oil to 1 tablespoon each. You might need to reduce coffee by a tablespoon to make room.
• To avoid having to clean a blender, you can use a handheld milk frother instead. However, the blender does make a frothier, better-tasting coffee.
• For a nut-free version, use coconut milk instead of almond milk.
